Always on.

The People directory and the org chart are open to every member. They show who people are and who they report to. HR tools, like editing a record or offboarding, are on the admin Employees page instead.

How it works

  • Directory. It lists everyone with their email, job title, department, manager and location, plus their status for today. The status shows whether someone is working, out today (with their leave type and return date), starting soon, leaving, invited or not invited yet. Tabs let you switch between everyone, people out today, upcoming joiners and archived people. You can search by name, email or role, and filter by team.
  • Profiles. A person's profile shows their role, department, location, start date, tenure, manager and direct reports. It also shows their employment history: every role they've held, including promotions and rehires, with dates.
  • Org chart. This interactive tree is built from each person's manager. It opens with the first two levels showing, and you can expand or collapse any branch. Search for someone to jump straight to them, or open the chart centered on a person from their profile.

Good to know

  • The org chart is read-only. Owners, admins and HR change reporting lines on the employee record, and those lines also decide who approves whose leave.
  • People who haven't accepted their invitation yet still show up, so the directory covers your whole organization.
