Team calendar
A month view of everyone's approved leave, public holidays and blackout periods, plus a feed for your own calendar app.

- Always on.
The team calendar shows the whole organization on one month grid, with one row per person, grouped by department. Use it to spot clashes before you book or approve leave.
How it works
- What appears. Approved leave appears as bars colored by leave type, and a half day fills half a cell. Pending requests stay off the calendar. Each day is marked with the public holidays of every location your people are in. Blackout periods appear as bars across the top, showing whether they apply to the whole organization, a location or certain departments.
- Filters. You can narrow the view to one or more departments. The month and the filter are kept in the page link, so you can share exactly what you're looking at.
- Coverage. The bottom row counts how many people are out each day. The busier the day, the darker its shading.
- Calendar feed. From My time off, you can subscribe to a personal iCal feed in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar. It holds approved leave for you, your department and your direct reports, from 90 days ago to a year ahead. Your own leave shows its leave type. Everyone else's shows only as "Out of office".
Good to know
- The feed link is shown only once. Anyone who has it can see your team's time off, so keep it private. Regenerating the link or turning the feed off stops the old link from working.
- The feed checks who's on your team each time your calendar app fetches it, so department changes show up without a new link. It stops working if you leave the organization.
- Google refreshes subscribed calendars every few hours, so changes can take up to a day to show up there.
