Activity log
An append-only audit trail of changes across your organization.

- Always on.
The activity log records who changed what, and when, across your whole workspace. Use it to answer questions like "who edited this leave policy?" or "when was this balance corrected?". Entries can't be edited or deleted.
How it works
- What's recorded. The log covers:
- leave requests and their decisions
- balance corrections and personal entitlements
- employee changes, including invitations, edits, role changes, offboarding, archival and rehire
- setup changes to locations, departments, leave types, policies, approval chains, holidays and blackouts
- carryover and plan changes
- Each entry shows the event, the person who made the change, what it applies to, and when. Open an entry to see its details. Edits list each changed field with its old and new values.
- System actions. Automatic background changes, such as the nightly archival of a leaver or a carryover rollover, are shown with the actor "System".
- Filtering. You can narrow the log by event, actor, target and date range. The filters only offer values that actually appear in your log.
- Safe by design. Changes and their log entries are saved together, so the log never shows a change that didn't happen.
Good to know
- HR can manage employees and leave settings, but the activity log is for owners and admins only.
- An entry stays even after the thing it describes is deleted, and changes show the names as they were at the time.
